Some pics I snapped at USF’s College of Theatre and Dance fall 2013 concert dress rehearsal. The last dance (shown above) was the absolute highlight and had me smiling the entire time. Definitely recommend going.—

This summer I tagged along with USF’s Formula SAE team. My role there was to document the trip, from beginning to end. I really had a blast - I had forgotten how much I enjoyed photojournalism. I once planned to have a career in that field, but then I got a hankering for commercial and fashion photography. But right now I’m finding myself inching closer and closer to photojournalism again. Documenting events, catching the emotion and being able to show others an event from a spectacular view. I do miss it.
This particular photo - which is slowly becoming my favorite of the whole trip - was actually a reject. Underexposed, there was nothing I seemed to be able to do to save it. Tonight I found it and worked on it again - it looks atrocious in color (I had to up the exposure and brightness so much it started to distort the photo), but switching it over to black and white erased all of that.
Different take on the party girl persona I had in mind (was going to be a club scene). My boyfriend said I looked dead, though, so I’m hoping people will get what it’s supposed to be of. Maybe I should have added a bottle in there or something.
